Pursuant to (81 FR 63860) issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on November 15, 2016, all affected providers and suppliers must meet all applicable requirements of the rule for Training and Testing requirements of the new Emergency Preparedness Final Rule by November 15, 2017.  In order to meet these requirements, the facility must seek out and participate in a full-scale, community based exercise with their local and/or state emergency agencies and healthcare coalitions and to have completed a table top exercise by the implementation date.
